Eco-friendly, the SteriPEN Freedom’s integrated battery recharges via a micro USB amongst other places and provides 16 oz. of water treatments in 48 seconds, it destroys over 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and protozoa.
The sun heats the water into steam, which removes the salt through an expansion nozzle to condense fresh water in the lower basin. Prototype designed by Gabriele Diamanti, finalist at the 2011 Prix Emile Hermes competition.
